The Steelshield FR 60 door features a highly durable, in-house applied external polyester powder coat finish. You can select your colour from the full RAL or BS4800 colour range.

This premium finish is backed by a 7-year warranty*, assuring its long-term adhesion and colour stability.

Your doors will be fitted with the Briton 5700 Series DIN standard mortice lock range, providing comprehensive security options including:

  • Sashlock, deadlock, nightlatch, and latch
  • Toilet lock
  • Escape sashlock

All locks are paired with a level handle set featuring 19mm diameter stainless steel round bar levers that are bolt-through for superior strength.

Hinges and closing devices

The door assembly is supported by four (4) stainless steel hinges (Class 14 to BS EN 1935), each equipped with an 8mm security bolt for enhanced tamper protection. Door closing is controlled by either an ASSA 200/300 or Geze 2000/4000 Surface Mounted Door Closer.

Profile cylinders

We supply the profile cylinders in your choice of configuration: Cylinder & Turn, Double Cylinder, or Single Cylinder.

Multiple doors are supplied with a standard differ (unique keys) but a Master Key System is available upon request for unified access control.

Means of escape devices

We provide hardware compliant with the necessary safety standards:

  • Panic Exit Devices (BS EN 1125 Compliant): Choose from the Briton 300 series, Exidor 500 series, or Strand PH Pullman Latch series.
  • Standard escape devices include the Briton 5700 series DIN standard mortice escape sashlock with a lever handle.

Vision Panels

Our vision panel utilises a two-part, screw-together frame for secure fitting, glazed with 9mm Firelite 60-minute fire-rated glass, ensuring superior fire integrity and visibility.

Our louvered panel system is constructed with a two-part screw-together frame and is designed to be non-vision for privacy.

Critically, it incorporates an internal intumescent air transfer block, which allows for essential ventilation under normal conditions but rapidly seals the opening during a fire, maintaining the door’s fire rating.

Door frame options

The Steelshield external doors feature a highly adaptable frame system designed to suit the widest range of structural openings.

As standard, all frames include our rapid-fit “jacking screw” arrangement and adjustable subframe channels. This advanced design allows for precise tolerance setting, ensuring a simple, rapid installation that expands to perfectly fill the structural opening.

The result is a neat, professional joint ready for immediate mastic application.

Standard frame

Our standard Steelshield door frame is constructed from heavy-duty 1.5mm galvanised steel for superior durability and corrosion resistance. Installation is made secure and straightforward using the Diagonal Fixing method, where the frame is fixed directly to the wall via prefabricated holes, complete with the necessary plugs and bolts.

A high-performance, all-round black sealing gasket is included on 3 or 4 sides of the frame for optimal thermal and acoustic performance. This standard frame is highly versatile and is suitable for fitting into a comprehensive range of structural materials, including:

  • Brickwork/concrete
  • Gas concrete
  • Prefabricated wall
  • Composite Panel
  • Steel Work
