The Steelshield is a sturdy, CE-marked external steel door designed specifically for commercial and industrial environments where security, energy efficiency, and compliance are essential. *Fully certified to EN 14351-1 for external use and this door delivers dependable performance without compromise.
With a low U-value of 1.6 w/m2k, and ongoing R&D targeting improvements to <1.0 W/m²K, the Steelshield supports enhanced energy efficiency for both new-build and retrofit projects. This makes it ideal for energy-conscious applications including plant rooms, utility areas, commercial buildings, and secure access points. The Steelshield is also available as a fire rated door, the Steelshield FR.

Finish
The Steelshield door features a highly durable, in-house applied external polyester powder coat finish. You can select your colour from the full RAL or BS4800 colour range.
This premium finish is backed by a 7-year warranty*, assuring its long-term adhesion and colour stability.
*Valid for C3 non-marine environments.
Vision Panels
Enhance natural light and visibility without compromising thermal efficiency or security. Our vision panels feature a robust two-part screw-together design and are glazed with a high-performance 18mm double-glazed unit (DGU).
Vision panels are available in a range of sizes from 254 x 559 to 254 x 1219. We also offer bespoke options.

Louvred Panels
For applications requiring ventilation and airflow without visual access, select our durable louvered panels. These are supplied as a two-part screw-together non-vision unit, designed to seamlessly integrate with the door’s structure.
Louvered panels are available in a range of sizes from 457 x 457 to 457 x 1524. We also offer bespoke louvered panel options.

Door frame options
Steel shield external doors come with a choice of frames to suit the widest possible structural doorway constructions.
As standard they come with the rapid fit “jacking screw” arrangement and adjustable sub frame channels that allow our doors to have the correct tolerance. This ensures simple installation, whilst expanding to fill the structural opening and leaving a neat joint ready for mastic to be applied.
As well as these standard design solutions our manufacturing and design facilities can deliver custom frames to suit any structural opening detail you need to install our doors into.
